A word from the Libraries' Team Leader ... As Easter approaches, why don’t you hunt for a Good Book at your Library? It is Easter this month, and we commemorate Anzac Day to acknowledge our contributions to the fight for good in the past world wars. Although we are closed for these public holidays (including the Saturday of Easter), please come and see our displays in the libraries as you stock up on your holiday reading before then. We have been busy in and out of our libraries in the past few weeks! At Paeroa Children’s Day at the Paeroa Domain we met lots of members of our community, young and old. Our book giveaways were well received by the tamariki and we have seen many excited faces as they have come to collect their special new stories from the libraries. Beach Hop was another day that we were out in the streets, promoting our services and showing off our books, but not even attempting to rival the cars that were on display, that is for sure! Our Autumn Holiday Programme will be offering our young customers lots of fun-filled activities as usual. Enjoy the rest of this newsletter and remember to give us feedback about what you like to see in it, as well as any book reviews you would like to share with us. Your opinion counts! |
