Our community organisations are dedicated to doing fabulous work in our district. From music to mental health, parades to premises, there’s always a project on the go requiring those extra funds. Here’s a list of some of the funding organisations that regularly consider applications in the Hauraki District. Most applications should be completed online and often require registration first, so check out the criteria and give yourself plenty of time to prepare your application so you don’t miss out.
Aotearoa Gaming Trust – open applications monthly and consider funding for organisations around the Kaiaua area. Requires you to create an online account via the website in advance of your application.
Akarana Community Trust – open applications monthly and consider funding for organisations around the Paeroa area. The application form is available to download from the website for printing and signing. Completed application forms should then be scanned and emailed or posted back to the Trust.
The Lion Foundation - open applications all year round and consider funding for organisations around the Waihī area. Requires you to create an online account via the website in advance of your application.
NZCT Community Trust – open applications monthly and consider funding for organisations around the Paeroa area. Requires you to create an online account via the website in advance of your application.
One Foundation – opens applications monthly and consider funding for organisations around Waihī area. Requires you to create an online account via the website in advance of your application.
Transpower Community Fund – opens for ‘Expressions of Interest’ twice a year in October and April. Supports applications for organisations within 2km of their overhead powerlines in the district. These power lines run through Paeroa across Waikino and out through the A&P showground end of Waihī. Contact Transpower to check your eligibility.
Valder Ohinemuri Charitable Trust – opens funding applications quarterly and support the Ohinemuri district community. Application forms can be emailed to you via the trust.
Thrifters Op Shop – opens funding quarterly and supports organisations within the catchment of Hauraki Plains College. Application forms are available at the Thrifters Shop in Ngatea.
OceanaGold – open funding monthly and supports organisations in and around the Waihī area. Download an application form via the website, which should be emailed or posted to the Community Investment Team at OceanaGold.
