Matariki was the perfect occasion for our Communications team to look to the future and set some goals. We're committed to reaching 8000 Antenno downloads by December 2025 - but can we do it sooner than that? We think so! We'll be recording progress on our office door thermometer that we made because unless you measure a goal, it's just a dream! The reason for Antenno is that it will save rate payers money on council advertising, while actually reaching the intended audience, now that's got to be a good thing. We're passionate about getting to 8000 downloads without it costing the rate payer too! The easiest way is to simply spread the news, word of mouth - as a district, if we all encourage five friends or whānau to download the free app, we'll hit 8000 downloads in no time. As of today, we're just shy of 500 already, so we're on our way. Please join us to stay connected and in the know - download Antenno today! What about our usual comms channels? We'll still be using our usual communication channels like our website, our community engagement site Kōrero Mai and Facebook, along with occasional newspaper and radio advertising, but remember, Antenno is the most cost-effective channel that sends alerts and notifications directly to your phone - it doesn't get more immediate and personal than that!
