Hello Autumn! Are you an Autumn lover like I am? This is my favourite time of the year, where it is not fully cold and there is still some warmth, which means getting out a warm blanket and enjoying the cosiness for my nightly reading in bed before sleep interrupts my reading time. Work and sleep seem to be problematic when I have far, far too many books to read!
You might have noticed the NEW stickers on our Adult Non-Fiction collection. This is to help highlight our collection and show everyone which books have recently been purchased. We hope you enjoy the variety of this collection.
Non-Fiction books are a great way to learn something new or read about your favourite sports star or musician.
Or you might be a user of our digital platforms and enjoy listening to eAudiobooks while cleaning or, if you are like me, you like to have them talking to you whilst out in the garden, attacking the weeds! One of my favourites for listening is Historical, especially anything within the Plantagenet/Tudor, Anglo-Saxon or Ancient Rome era; I like to learn at the same time that I am doing something. Speaking of learning, have you checked out the ePress section within BorrowBox? We have an amazing selection of magazines and also newspapers - I know there is something there for you to discover today 😊

CAB & JP Services
Hauraki Citizens Advice Bureau are now holding an extra clinic at Paeroa Library on Wednesdays from 10am - 1pm. Whether you have questions about tenancy rights, employment, budgeting, or just need someone to help point you in the right direction, the CAB team offers free, confidential, and independent advice to everyone in our community. No appointment is needed, just drop in and have a chat.
Justice of the Peace services are also available in our libraries:
Waihī - Mondays 11am - 1pm
Ngātea - Tuesdays 11am - 12 noon
Paeroa - Thursdays 12 noon - 1pm
School Holiday Programme Success!
Our Autumn School Holiday Programme at Hauraki District Libraries was filled with energy, creativity, and a touch of magic! It was wonderful to see so many young explorers diving into hands-on activities that sparked their curiosity and imagination. From the excitement of 3D Printing to the whimsical charm of creative crafts, the libraries were buzzing with children enjoying their break. We want to extend a huge thank you to all the families who joined us and made the holidays so much fun in our libraries. We are already looking forward to seeing you all again for our Winter School Holiday Programme:
