The final day to pay your rates is 30 October. 

If you're not using direct debit, we recommend it as the easiest way to avoid late fees and keep payments on track.

If you’re a homeowner on a low income, you could be eligible for a rates rebate of up to $790.

Get ready for a fun-filled season of swimming, sunshine, and plenty of splashy moments. 

We’re excited to share the opening dates for our local pools: 

• Paeroa Pool: Opens Tuesday 29th October

• Waihī Pool: Opens Saturday 9th November 

• Ngātea Pool: Opens Saturday 16th November 

Come down and enjoy a refreshing dip with your whānau and friends. It’s the perfect way to cool off and have some fun this summer! 

Just a reminder that due to the public holiday on Monday, 28 October, rubbish and food scraps collections will be one day later next week. 

Collections will run from Tuesday to Friday. Please remember to put your bins out the day after your regular collection day. 

 We’ve introduced salt chlorination at Paeroa Pool, having previously used chlorine gas to sanitise the pool. 

This new system provides a better swimming experience by protecting against pathogens and germs without the use of harsh chemicals. It offers a gentler option that reduces the risk of red, irritated eyes, and dry or damaged skin and hair. 

Key Benefits: 

Lower maintenance with an automated system to control filtration and chlorine production.Pools will still be sanitised to the required levels. Environmentally friendly and expected savings of approximately $10k per season 

What about the other pools?
