It was an honour to host the Armistice commemoration at Seymour Square War Memorial on Wednesday. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month we look back with gratitude at the ceasing of hostilities on the Western Front in 1918, ending World War 1. Thanks to the Marlborough War Birds for their fly past and to Marlborough RSA and Base Woodbourne. In a year when COVID-19 has disrupted our lives, we appreciate the freedom we have today to gather together, to take the time to pause and remember. John Leggett Mayor of Marlborough |
