1. Underside or bottom edge of weatherboards unpainted and/or incomplete cladding. 2. Working smoke alarms not installed within 3.0m of all bedrooms and on all escape routes. 3. Failing to fit and seal plastic flanges over plumbing pipes penetrating walls e.g. through external walls and under sinks and vanities in wet areas. 4. Failing to secure laundry tub to wall/floor and ensuring all junctions are sealed in wet areas e.g. vanities, sinks, tubs and floor and wall junctions. 5. Leaking showers (test showers by directing water to junctions before calling for your inspection). 6. Backflow prevention devices not fitted to outside taps and shower hoses. 7. Stainless steel flashings and fixings not installed when required (galvanised often installed instead). 8. Not fitting handrails to stairs with three or more risers.
9. Finished ground levels and cladding clearance not established or too high. 10. Omitting to create a haunch around gully traps and not ensuring adequate height of gully traps.
